Dinner was a breeze

Got a couple of their Heat and Eat Meals last week, the Cheesy Chicken & Broccoli Bake. Just popped them in the microwave after a long day. Super easy, tasted pretty good for something ready-made. Didn't have to cook at all, which was nice. Packaging was decent. I'd probably get them again when I'm feeling lazy.

Reliable for busy weeks

This was my third time ordering from Blue Apron, and once again, they delivered. I got the Family Friendly Meal Kit this time, the Crispy Chicken with Roasted Potatoes, and it was just as good as the previous times I've ordered their Signature kits. The portions were generous for my family of four, and the instructions are consistently clear. It's really convenient for those busy weekdays when I don't have time to plan or grocery shop. They've always been reliable with delivery times and the quality of ingredients never disappoints. That's why I keep coming back; I know what to expect.

So easy and delicious!

I just got my first Fast and Easy Meal Kit and it was amazing! I made the One-Pan Lemon Chicken & Orzo and it was SO simple to put together, like seriously quick. Everything was fresh and the flavors were spot on. I loved not having to think about dinner. I will definitely be ordering again! This is such a time-saver.

Good quality, delivery concerns

I ordered a Signature Meal Kit, specifically the Spicy Shrimp & Kimchi Fried Rice, and a couple of their Add-ons, the Lemon Herb Hummus with Pita Chips. The ordering process was pretty straightforward on their site. Delivery took 5 days to reach Denver, which was within their estimated window, but the ice packs were mostly melted when it arrived. Luckily, the shrimp felt cool enough. The ingredients for the fried rice were fresh, and the recipe card was easy to follow, resulting in a tasty meal. The hummus was a nice snack too. I tried contacting support about the melted ice packs, and they responded within a day offering a small credit, which was fair. Overall, the food quality was good and the recipes are interesting, but I'm a bit wary about future deliveries in warmer weather.

Are their return policies pretty straightforward if something arrives damaged or if I just don't like a meal?

P Paul Brown 1 week ago
If something's actually damaged, they're usually really good about it and will credit your account. Haven't had to return a whole box though.

I had a bruised avocado once, and customer service was quick to give me a credit for that ingredient. Never tried returning a whole kit, but for specific issues, they're generally helpful.

Thinking of trying out Blue Apron, but I live in Miami. Anyone know if they deliver there and what the typical delivery time is?

R Rachel Mitchell 1 month ago
They definitely deliver to Miami. I'm in South Florida too and get my box Tuesdays or Wednesdays usually. You can pick your delivery day.

Yeah, they ship to most places in the US. You can check your zip code on their site, but Miami should be good. Delivery time depends on your chosen day, usually early to mid-week.

How do Blue Apron meals compare to HelloFresh? I've used HelloFresh before and it was okay, but looking for something a bit different.

H Hannah Robinson 1 month ago
I've tried both. Blue Apron recipes feel a bit more 'chef-y' and sometimes have slightly more interesting ingredients. HelloFresh is often a bit simpler, I think.

Blue Apron tends to have more complex flavors and techniques, which I like. HelloFresh is good for quick, easy dinners. Both are decent, just depends on what you're in the mood for.

How easy is it to skip a week if I'm going out of town? Is it a hassle to do?

A Ashley B. 3 days ago
Super easy. You just go into your account settings and can skip any week you want. Did it last month when I went on vacation.

No hassle at all. I usually skip weeks when I know I'll be busy or traveling. You can do it several weeks in advance too, which is nice.

I saw some deal for like $100 off your first few boxes. Is that a legit thing or just clickbait?

D Donna G. 4 weeks ago
Totally legit. They do those kinds of new customer offers all the time. I got a similar one when I signed up.

A Ashley Thompson 4 weeks ago
Yeah, that's pretty standard for them. They usually spread it out over a few weeks, so you get a discount on your first 3-5 boxes or so.
